This bird mesh will be an interesting support for straw substrate and mycelium spawn. The straw can be further enmeshed in fine cotton netting to constrain it and the bird mesh assemblage can be re-formed around it. The paper roving, brown paper and fabric felt will all support mycelium growth.

I imagine many units hanging in a physical space, with differing electronic activations in each, such as programmed LED sequences, sound sequences and maybe movement. Some could be triggered by human presence, some by touch and perhaps even by voice activation.
